In general, it is advisable to follow the prescribed medication from the doctors and we typically have confidence in doctors to suggest established treatment options. So, how can doctors be convinced of a therapy option?
The information is derived from scientific literature and published research findings across different scenarios. These therapy approaches have been extensively researched and validated by experts in the field, with their findings published in reputable scientific journals. Through diligent research, doctors discover a viable therapy alternative that they are confident in prescribing to select patients. If they receive positive findings, they will start prescribing the medication or treatment choice to all patients.

None of the procedures will uncover the every individual’s stress levels. Certain strategies may prove effective for certain individuals, while others may not yield the same results. There are various reasons why stress can differ from one person to another.
In the previous chapter, we discussed different forms of stress, such as physical, psychological, psychosocial, psychospiritual, and secondhand stress. Practices that focus on the body can be helpful in alleviating physical tension, but they may not have the same impact on psychological or other forms of stress. Therefore, it is crucial to choose the right stress-relieving method for ourselves. Only when it operates properly will it have the desired effect of reducing stress.
Duration for implementing these strategies
Another common question is the duration for implementing these strategies. The answer to this question relies on three specific criteria.
1. Stress-relieving technique: As mentioned before, the techniques to be discussed have already been proven and published. Consequently, every technique must follow certain fundamental principles. I’ll make sure to inform them as I explain each technique.
2. Individual who employs the technique: Individuals may encounter varying levels of stress, ranging from minimal to moderate to intense. Typically, individuals who experience less stress need less time to recover, while those who experience high levels of stress require more time to return to their normal state.
3. Surrounding environment of a person experiencing stress: It’s important to keep in mind that when someone finds themselves in a stressful environment, they should take necessary precautions until they can remove themselves from that situation.
According to a significant study conducted in 2009, it was found that it can take anywhere from 18 to 254 days to successfully incorporate a new behavior into one’s routine. Participants in the study took an average of 66 days to consistently incorporate one of three habits into their daily routine: having a piece of fruit with lunch, drinking a bottle of water with lunch, or engaging in a 15-minute exercise session before dinner [1].
